The Mission and Vision of Chicago Fellowship

Helping men receive God’s grace and extend God’s grace. Chicago Fellowship is committed to helping men experience the saving grace of Jesus Christ and together extend that grace to others. We do this by connecting men to the teachings of the Bible, other men in our community and opportunities for learning and serving together.

What is Chicago Fellowship?

In short, we connect men to:

  • The Word
  • Other Men
  • Service

A group of men connected to the greater Chicago area who meet regularly to learn from the Bible, share life experiences, serve our communities and take trips together.  We do this, in community, so we can more faithfully follow Jesus.  We believe these shared experiences positively impact our roles as sons, brothers, husbands and fathers and our work as employees, employers and colleagues.

Faithfully following Jesus also includes working for the flourishing of our neighbor.  Learning together how to join with God in working to restore the world to how He created it to be, including in the areas of racial and economic justice, is a part of what we care about.

Chicago Fellowship is not a church and not a replacement for a local church. We believe that participation in a local church is important, even essential to faithfully following Jesus. We hope that Chicago Fellowship will increase participation in the local church as people encounter Jesus and are introduced to other men and ministry leaders who will serve as a bridge to involvement in the local church.

Who is Chicago Fellowship for?

Any man.

We teach and talk about Christ with confidence but in a winsome way that is easily relatable to those outside the faith or those just exploring.

You don’t have to be in Chicago to be involved; you don’t even have a connection to Chicagoland. Yet, we are focused on Chicago.  Our in person meetings are in Chicago and when we talk about working for the flourishing of our city we are talking about Chicago first and move outward from there.

The unique make up of Chicago Fellowship is that we have a great mix of young and not so young, marketplace and nonprofit, long time participants and first timers at nearly every gathering.

There are five ways to get involved.

The magic is in developing relationships with other men who are also on the journey of trying to more faithfully follow Jesus. We have an intentionally low bar of entry and no commitment required to be a part of Chicago Fellowship, but the way to gain the most value from our group is to be consistent enough and dive in deep enough to develop meaningful friendships.
